KIA America Announces Customer Assistance Program and Donates $250,000 to the American Red Cross for Hurricane Relief

In October of 2024 in a direct response to the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene, KIA America announced immediate assistance programs to assist in hurricane recovery in the southeastern U.S. in the wake of massive hurricane damage. The first assistance program was geared towards helping customer in Florida, South Carolina, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina who need to replace vehicles damaged by the storm. Also, customers with an insurance claim for a loss of a vehicle due to the storm will be eligible to get $500 in support for the purchase or lease of select new vehicles between October 4, 2024, and January 2, 2025. For the purpose of helping those in need, KIA America has partnered with KIA Georgia to donate $250,000 to the American Red Cross for disaster relief. If you live in or near Atlanta, Stockbridge, or Griffin, you can take advantage of the KIA Assistance Programs at Sons KIA.
Commitment to Customers
KIA offers a promise of support for our customers and the communities we share. On September 26th Hurricane Helene made landfall as a category four storm causing catastrophic damage to Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Tennessee. In an effort to help out these areas, not only has KIA donated $250,000, but the local KIA teams are also continuing to raise funds internally for hurricane relief efforts through the American Red Cross.
The latest donation is only a small part of some $30 million provided to people in need since 2019 through the “Accelerate the Good” charitable initiative. This initiative was established for the greater good to help out charitable organizations that assist in treating and defeating diseases such as childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases, but also to help in ending social concerns such as childhood hunger, providing shelter for homeless youth, contributing to other disaster relief efforts following natural disasters, supporting our honored military members, assisting in sheltering animals that are in need, and assisting with environmental cleanup efforts. We are part of the community, and we want to do our due diligence in supporting the people of our communities.
